State Police have release additional information on a shootings that occurred in Giles County on Friday and Saturday.

Corinne Geller of the Virginia State Police said in a news release that the investigation started early on Friday morning. At 1:56 AM, police were called to the scene of a shooting on College Street in Narrows. They found 18-year old Luke Robbins, who had been shot and robbed. Robbins was taken to Carilion's Giles Memorial Hospital and treated for his injuries.

After investigating that incident, local and state police sought malicious wounding, robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony charges against Jonathan V. Robertson of Narrows, Va. On Saturday afternoon, while working to serve a warrant on those charges, a Giles Co. Sheriff's deputy and Va. State Police agent found Robertson on Fletchers Mountain Road. Robertson shot at the officers.

A passenger in Robertson's pickup truck, Clifton L. Clowers of Christiansburg, jumped out of the truck during the shooting, but was not injured. He was taken into custody and charged in relation to Friday's incident on charges of robbery and malicious wounding.

The State Police update says Giles County Sheriff's Office has arrested Ian G. Rhody of Pearisburg and Kyle L. Williams,  of Pembroke, both age 20, in relation to this case. Each of them are charged with robbery, malicious wounding, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

The Giles County Sheriff's Office has arrested two additional subjects for their role in Friday's robbery and shooting: Ian G. Rhody, 20, of Pearisburg, Va., and Kyle L. Williams, 20, of Pembroke, Va. Each man is charged with robbery, malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. 

A search of Robertson's home in Narrows revealed what police say are a stolen handgun and a small amount of illegal narcotics. The police continue to investigate the shooting on Friday, as well as the officer-involved shooting of Robertson.
