GRAYSON COUNTY, VA -

A Grayson County grand injury indicted the boyfriend in the murder of a Fries woman, according to the Commonwealth's Attorney's office on Thursday.

Prosecutors say 35-year-old Matthew Steven Jones was indicted on a murder charge, for the killing of Desia Rae George.  Investigators believe George was killed sometime between April 15-May 22, 2013.

Members of George's family reported her missing on April 16th, and both the Carroll County and Grayson County Sheriff's Offices helped search for her.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office named Jones a person of interest in the case back on April 30th.

Officers found George's body in eastern Grayson County on May 22nd.

The suspect, Jones, is being held in North Carolina on a bank robbery charge in Randolph County.

Grayson County prosecutors say the murder charge will be prosecuted after the bank robbery charge.
