UPDATE:

Virginia State Police say that a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 which was being operated by Christopher Pruett, age 29, of Lynchburg, Virginia was traveling in the right lane at a high rate of speed while attempting to pass a 2003 Dodge pick up that was attempting to make a left turn. As the 2006 Dodge Ram approached the intersection of Route 1426 it struck the 2003 Dodge pick up which then struck a 2002 Nissan Sentra which was stopped at the intersection.

According to Virginia State Police, 70-year-old Sandra Duff of Lynchburg died from a car crash that occurred yesterday evening around 5:30 PM on Route 1425 at Route 1426 in Bedford County.

An investigation revealed that a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 was in the right lane traveling at a high rate of speed while attempting to pass a 2006 Dodge pick up that was attempting to make a left turn. As the 2003 Dodge Ram approached the intersection of Route 1426 it struck the 2006 Dodge pick up which then struck a 2002 Nissan Sentra which was stopped at the intersection.

 Duff was the passenger of the 2003 Dodge Ram. Her husband, 73-year-old Herbert Duff was driving.

No further information has been revealed.
