BLACKSBURG, VA -

7:00 p.m.

Police in Blacksburg are looking for the pictured suspect after he robbed a bank in Blacksburg.

9-1-1 received a call at 3:42 p.m. from a teller at National Bank on South Main Street in Blacksburg that their bank had been robbed.

The police were able to get a picture of the suspect from video surveillance at the bank.

Tellers tell police that the man was white, about 5'6" and between the ages of 20 and 30. He was wearing a black and white striped shirt, black pants, and a back ball cap walked in, and demanded money. He did not show a weapon, and walked out after stealing money.

Police tell WSLS that they are unsure if the man had a weapon on his person.

The man left the bank on foot.

Police say a teller called 911 at 3:42 p.m., and said the bank was robbed.

The teller told officers that a white man, wearing a black and white striped shirt, black pants, and a back ball cap walked in, and demanded money.  He did not show a weapon, and walked out after stealing money.

Blacksburg Police are searching for a bank robber.

Officers say the National Bank branch near LewisGale Hospital at Montgomery was hit late this afternoon.
