Raleigh's Kat Robichaud is still alive on 'The Voice'

LOS ANGELES -

Raleigh's Kat Robichaud remains in the competition on NBC's "The Voice" Tuesday night.

Robichaud was the final contestant saved on a tense night on the hit singing competition. She was saved by votes from fans through Twitter.

In an interview with WNCN, Robichaud said she knew she was going home Tuesday. But she said it felt really good knowing so many people wanted her to stick around.

"I love you guys so much. Thank you," she said. "I knew for sure I was going home but you saved me."

A total of 12 contestants entered Tuesday's show with ten making it to the next round.

Robichaud gave a fierce rendition of AWOLNATION's "Sail," going so far as to leap into the audience for some impromptu crowd surfing. The move was a first for the competition; and, rightfully so, made the coaches squirm in their big red chairs.

The performance came after a rough week for Kat, who was in the bottom three on her team but was saved by her coach. Last Tuesday Kat showed her softer side by performing Mary Lambert's "She Keeps Me Warm."

When asked what she had in store for next week, Robichaud replied, "I don't know. Such is the magic of 'The Voice.'"
