ROANOKE, VA -

A fire caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to a Roanoke home on Tuesday evening.

Roanoke Fire-EMS spokeswoman Tiffany Bradbury says the E-911 center received a fire call at 5:51 p.m., and fire crews rushed to the 2500 block of Shenandoah Avenue.

Firefighters got the flames under control by 6:05 p.m.

Bradbury says the Fire Marshal's Office ruled an electrical problem sparked the fire, and caused and estimated $4,000 in damage.

No people were hurt.
