Children's Miracle Network and the Department of Homeland Security team-up to make a difference for a sick child.

Nine-year-old Joshua Levering got to spend some time outside of the hospital, living a dream of chasing down "bad guys" as part of Operation Miracle.

Homeland Security alongside state and local police, escorted Josh around Roanoke to find clues to lead them to "Dr. Evil."

Josh told us what he can't wait to tell his friends at school on Monday.

"That I'm lucky and they'd probably be jealous," he said.

"Everybody thinks their kid is great, but he has been through so much in his short little life and this is just a really great opportunity for him," said his mom, Erin.

Erin went on to explain that son was born premature and has undergone a number of surgeries in his short life.
