Children's Trust asking for nomination for child abuse prevention awards

Posted: Updated:

A non-profit helping put a stop to child abuse in the Roanoke and New River Valleys needs your help finding nominations for their "Golden Halo Awards."

Each year, Children's Trust recognizes those in our community who go above and beyond to protect our children.

We sat down with Children’s Trust leaders to find out what they're looking for and Judge Philip Trompeter who received last year's esteemed guardian angel honor.

“It is the greatest work that can ever be done, it is the hardest work that can ever be done,” explained Judge Trompeter.

“The best people in the world do these jobs, that's what makes my job so much fun is that I really get to work shoulder to shoulder with the best people in the world, people who are really committed to doing what it takes to make our community a safe place for kids to be,” Janice Dinkins Davidson said, Children’s Trust Executive Director.

If you would like to nominate someone you know for the Golden Halo Awards log on to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GoldenHalo2014 to fill out a form.

The Children’s Trust is looking for nominees in one of the following categories:
Child Protective Services
Law Enforcement
Legal/Judicial
