Durham police searching for bank robbery suspect

DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police said the BB&T bank on N.C. Highway 54 was robbed Thursday morning.

Police said a male suspect entered the bank, located at 1107 N.C. 54, just before 10 a.m. The suspect handed a teller a note demanding money, police said. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the area, police said.

No weapon was used in the robbery, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male in his mid to late 50s with scruffy salt and pepper facial hair.  Police said he was wearing a blue jacket, a green ball cap and blue, white and yellow plaid pajama pants.
