ROANOKE COUNTY, VA -
Thousands of cars pass through 419 everyday and John Venturini who is the VP of studio operations of Pure Barre says the traffic flow is the reason why they chose to open the business here in Keagy Village.
"It was centrally located we wanted something in the southwest area of Roanoke plus something close to Salem," says Venturini.
Pure Barre a fitness studio is the newest business to open in Keagy Village. Venturini says a large part of his customer base comes from people driving by on 419.
While some of his neighbors are empty storefronts for now he did tell us rumors are swirling about what could be the next business to move next door. The property manager confirms changes are coming.
One thing that has helped bring more attention to Keagy Village is through real estate group Poe and Cronk who recently just took on to manage the property.
The property manager expects 2014 to bring in a lot of business here. But it's not only Keagy Village that is getting some attention but all around the Southern part of Roanoke County. The director of economic development Jill Loope says five years ago a lot along 419 was undeveloped land.
Recently the Promenade Park finished making improvements to the buildings.
"Businesses typically like being in this area of the county that's where the high income demographic is the high traffic corridors these companies want that visibility," says Loope.
