    The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says a 12-year-old year boy accidentally killed his 7-year-old brother. Deputies received a 911 call about shots fired on Tuesday, April 21 stat 11:46 a.m.

    According to Roanoke City Police a shooting suspect is at large after one person was shot on the Roanoke River Greenway near the Ramada Inn on Franklin Road. Police say the victim has non-life threatening injuries. The call came in around 8:55.

Galax toppled 3-0 Glenvar with a 60-55 decision in Salem. The Maroon Tide's Clif Conley finished with 17 points. Darian Brown posted 16 points for Galax.
Glenvar's Jeremy Williams led all scorers with 29 points and seven rebounds. Galax improves to 2-1 with the win, Glenvar falls to 3-1 with the loss.
