Botetourt Co. deputies investigate woman's death

BOTETOURT COUNTY -

Botetourt County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a woman's death from this morning at Lakeside Place in Eagle Rock.

Sheriff Ronnie Sprinkle says the woman has been identified as 54-year-old Linda Renee Craft.

Craft was found in the backyard of the residence with an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. 

There was a hand gun recovered along with her body.

The male victim has been identified as Jerry Michael Paitsel, 62, who was found in his bedroom with a possible gunshot wound to the head.

Both Craft and Paitsel lived at the residence together. Linda Craft's body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke and Jerry Paitsel was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

There's no word on his condition at this time.
