MARTINSVILLE CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION AND RECYCLING

Posted: Updated:
The City of Martinsville offers recycling of live Christmas trees following the holidays. The trees are ground into mulch and used by Gateway Streetscape Foundation on various plant bed sites throughout the community.

Beginning Thursday, December 26 through Friday, January 17, the City will collect live Christmas trees for recycling. Trees may be placed at the back of curb and it will not be necessary to call for a scheduled pickup. After January 17, pickup must be scheduled through the City’s Bulk Item Pick–Up Program by calling 403-5419.

Citizens can also deliver the trees directly to the Martinsville Jail Annex (City Farm) located on Clearview Drive. Signs will be posted for the drop off site.
