New grocery store in Downtown Roanoke

Posted: Updated:
DOWNTOWN ROANOKE - There's a new place to get your grocery shopping done in Downtown Roanoke.

Over the past month, Chad Ferguson, manager at Ferguson's Grocery, has been working to move in and open up shop on Church Street where Tudor's Biscuit World used to be. Ferguson says he's working hard to get the word out about the store, which is now open to the public.

"The key item I've learned is you need to have a location where people know exactly who you are," he says. "So I've been delivering flyers and handbills, and actually catering lunches for folks in different parts of town to get them down here. But I'm also having everything in the store that people who live and work downtown need on a day to day basis."

The shop sells everything from fresh meat, to canned goods, over the counter medicine and coffee drinks.

The store is open daily:
Monday through Friday - 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday- 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sunday- 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
