(RNN) - The 2-9 McNeese State Cowboys visit LSU (8-2) for a basketball game between state rivals on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The game will be aired on ESC and ESP3.

LSU (8-2) hammered UAB 86-63 back on Dec. 18 – Johnny O'Bryant III led the scoring with 17 points, 13 in the second period. O'Bryant was 6-of-12 from the floor and hit five of seven free throws.

Andre Stringer scored 13 points and hit three, 3-pointers to move into third-place all-time on the school's triples list.

Ledrick Eackles leads McNeese with 14.3 points per game. Kevin Hardy averages 11.2 points and a team-leading seven rebounds per game.

The Cowboys are on a six-game losing streak dating back to Nov. 25. Their only wins have come against Louisiana College and Stillman.

The Tigers will play Rhode Island next Saturday, Jan. 4, before opening their conference season with Tennessee at home on Jan. 7.
