COLLEGE STATION, TX (RNN) - Dismal shooting cost Texas A&M its home game against North Texas, falling 61-41 on Tuesday.

The Aggies (8-4) made only 30 percent of their 50 field goals and 4 of their 18 3-pointers, which helped the Mean Green (8-5) gain a 23-point lead in the second half. Texas A&M held a slight advantage in free throws, making 7 out of 15 free throws (47 percent) compared to UNT's 6 out of 14 (43 percent).

Alex Caruso led the Aggies with 10 points, two assists and one block.

Texas A&M has lost two in a row, and this was the Aggies' first home loss of the season. They will play their final nonconference game of the season against Texas-Pan American at home on Saturday, Jan. 4.
