Missing Raleigh teen will need counseling, mother says

Posted: Updated:

A Raleigh teen who had not been seen by family members since Dec. 26 has been found safe and returned home, Raleigh Police said Friday night.

Kenyetta Clark, 15, had been missing since Dec. 26. She was recovered Friday night in Fuquay-Varina, and police said she was not with family members.

Clark's mother, Valerie Tate, told WNCN that her daughter was found "in good condition," but she will be attending couseling.

Tate also said police arrested two men after Clark's recovery, and that her daughter did not personally know the men, but she "know of one of them." However Raleigh Police spokesman Jim Sughrue said no arrests have been made.

Tate had pleaded for help earlier in the week, saying the teen's cellphone has been turned off and her Facebook account was deleted.

After Clark was returned home, Tate told WNCN that her daughter deleted the Facebook account because "someone was harassing her."
