Billy Joe Carter pleads no contest today in Botetourt Co. Circuit Court and is found guilty of multiple charges including statutory burglary, sexual battery, perjury and possession of a firearm as a felon and abduction.

He was sentenced to serve six years, with 18 years suspended.

Earlier this week, Billy Joe Carter pled guilty to fraud involving social security, medicare, and tax reports totaling about $330,000.

Between 2005 to 2013, the government's lawyers said Carter received about $130,000 in social security benefits, and about $90,000 in medicare benefits.

He didn't report that he was still working as the Buchanan Fire Chief during that time.

Carter was taken back to Roanoke City Jail.
