HS Girls Hoops Report: LCA Rolls, Floyd Still Perfect

Posted: Updated:

In VIS action on Thursday night, the LCA girls  visited rival North Cross and dominated by a 73-19 count. LCA led 43-6 at the half. Meanwhile the Floyd County girls were nearly as commanding on Wednesday night in an 84-37 win over Radford. The Lady Buffs are led by Alan and son Travis Cantrell--and they appear poised to make a run at defending their state title. Floyd County is out to a 9-0 start.Coach Cantrell says it is important to remain focused on improving and keep the motivation of trying to go back-to-back in the front of the minds of the girls that have already accomplished a title in Richmond. Floyd's next battle is against Eastern Montgomery on Friday night.
