Alleghany Co. deputies help bring woman back to life

 The Alleghany County Sheriff honored a mix of officers and dispatchers for their work on January 3rd, 2013. Sheriff Kevin Hall says they all worked together to respond to a call that could have meant life or death for one woman.

A 66-year-old woman's heart stopped during a cardiac arrest. The officers performed CPR and were able to revive her.

Sgt. Steve Thrasher, Deputy George Jefferson, Corporal Richard Shull, Officer Butch Brown, E9-11 dispatcher Robin Hall, Sylvia Via,  Sue Whiting, were all presented with a life saving pin Friday afternoon.

"I'm proud of them a lot," Alleghany Sheriff Kevin Hall says. "A lot of us work our entire career and see a lot of bad things and never save a life."
