A popular French restaurant and bakery in Blacksburg is expanding to the star city.

Authentic French, made from scratch delights is what keeps customers coming back to ‘Our Daily bread’ in Blacksburg.

"The food is really very, very good here," Dennis Jones, a regular who comes in every Friday said.

From the crème brule to the cheese cake galore, just looking at the pastries is enough to make your mouth water.

Everyone has a favorite treat.

The owners moved to the area from France and bought the restaurant four years ago.

They’ve created the cuisine that changes on a daily basis.

"The croissants that they make here, you would think you were in Paris. They wouldn't be any better," Jones said.

"Its pretty much the only place that you can get real French pastries and cuisine in southwest Virginia."

Never a dull moment for the restaurant ,Chief De Cuisine James Zeisler Jr. business says business is better than ever.

"Really it's the quality, it's the service, it's the food. It's the whole package is really a unique little gem in Blacksburg,” Zeisler said.

Now the owners are expanding the business to Roanoke where Zeisler will work as the general manager of the businesses first expansion.

He says a lot of their customers travel to Blacksburg from Roanoke so they decided to come to them instead.

"They can expect pretty much everything we have in blacksburg, just on a smaller scale. It is a smaller facility."

The owners have renovated a building on Brambleton Avenue in the former location of the Star City Coffee House.

All of the pastries will continue to be made at the Blacksburg shop and shipped fresh everyday to Roanoke where repeat customers like these guys who come every Friday can enjoy a small slice of Paris in the star city.
