Roanoke City Police responds to Turbo Food Mart robbery

ROANOKE -

The Roanoke City Police Department responded to the Turbo Food Mart, located in the 4100 block of Plantation Road NE to investigate the report of a robbery.

Police say the clerk on duty at the store told officers the suspect walked into the store, showed a knife and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money.

The clerk advised the suspect to run away, and reported losing sight of the suspect as the individual ran east on Plantation Road.

Police also say the suspect was wearing a gray toboggan, sunglasses, and a white cloth that concealed the suspect's face. The suspect wore a gray toboggan, sunglasses, and a white cloth that concealed the suspect's face.
