Update 8:25 pm:

Police tell WSLS that a baby's body has been found in Pulaski. Evidence gathered in their investigation surrounding Howard Cole lead them to a wooded area near Draper. Investigators are still combing the scene for evidence. Police cannot officially confirm the identity of the body at this time, pending a medical examiner's finding. But the Pulaski police chief says the body is 'identical and appearance and size to 5-month-old' they were looking for.

 

Update 6:05 pm:

Investigators are at a crime scene in the Draper area of Pulaski right next to Interstate 81. Pulaski police and sheriff collecting evidence in the surrounding woods. Police are calling it an active crime scene; we'll have more information as soon as it's available.

Pulaski Police say Howard Samuel Cole, has been apprehended. The whereabouts of the missing infant is still unknown.

A child abuse felony warrant was issued for 31-year old Howard Samuel Cole after police got a report on Sunday that he had abused his 5-month old son. Howard is the biological father of Cory Samuel Cole.

Pulaski Police Chief Gary Roche says they searched Howard Cole's property all night but didn't find any signs of him or his son. K9 search teams were part of the search.

Five-month old Cory Cole was last seen on Monday. He's described as a white five-month old baby boy, with dirty blonde hair, and blue eyes.
