Alexis Murphy murder suspect files motion to relocate trial

The man charged with the murder of 17-year-old Alexis Murphy of Lovingston has filed for a motion to change the venue of his trial.

Randy Allen Taylor, 48 is set to be tried for first-degree murder, murder during commission of abduction and abduction with intent to defile after the disappearance of the Nelson County teen who was last seen on August 3rd, 2013.

His trial date is set for May 1st 2014 according to the Virginia court system records in Nelson County.

Taylor's lawyer Michael Hallahan filed the motion on January 21st.

No word yet if the motion will be approved by a judge.
