New delivery service to open in Roanoke

Posted: Updated:
Your favorite restaurant dishes fresh from the kitchen can now be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.

The name of the game is "Fetch.” It will become Roanoke City’s only delivery service, offering food

The business, started by two young entrepreneurs in Roanoke has gotten off of the ground in only a month.

Co-owner Alan Runion says it's the first of its kind in Roanoke city.

“Fetch Roanoke is a delivery service in the Roanoke Valley. We cater to a five mile radius of downtown Roanoke. We provide delivery services for restaurants that typically don't deliver," Runion said.

Now if you don't want to worry with finding a parking space or feel like dressing up to go out , you don't have to.

"We think that this will be very beneficial to Roanoke. It will save people time in the evening and it will provide a service that people can just enjoy," Runion said.

Also enjoying the services are restaurants like Martins in downtown Roanoke. General Manager Jason Martin says partnering with Fetch give his menu more exposure.

"We are happy to be a part of it. I think it will be able to provide a service to our customers that we don't already provide,” Martin said.

“To be able to deliver our products and food effectively to our surrounding neighbors will be good."

It’s easy to order. You can call or go online to Fetch Roanoke’s website.

There you can view local restaurants, choose what you want to eat and even make special requests.

Food delivered to your door all with a click of a button.

This business is bringing in more than just food.

Fetch has created 14 new jobs and that number could quickly go up. They say they hope to expand in the near future."

"In the next four months we are looking at places in Salem to cater to Roanoke college and we are looking to go to Blacksburg to cater to the students there."

Fetch's launch starts this Saturday, but they’ve already gotten calls.

A new business is opening tomorrow in Roanoke City that is making delivery available from many restaurants who normally don't offer that option.

The delivery service is called “Fetch.” It operates out of its office on Campbell Avenue and not only makes your next meal a little easier, it’s helping out local businesses.
