Straight Street Will Benefit From Roanoke Movie

Posted: Updated:
Alexander Films Producer, Marc Hutchins is one of the partners in a Roanoke movie project that hopes to raise money for Straight Street.

He explains, "The purpose of the film is to be able to give back to a local non-profit organization, Straight Street."

Straight Street provides a place for about three hundred kids a week to be safe and productive.

Spirit FM Founder, Barry Armstrong is also part of the project.  Armstrong is President of Live the Life Partners.

He explains, "Non-profit leadership is mostly about fundraising.  We are always looking for creative alternative ways to fund."

Hutchins adds,"We feel like a feature film is a great way to create awareness as a promotional piece as well as a fundraising piece."

Casting begins Friday at Green Memorial church from 10:00-9:00p on Friday and Saturday they are hoping to use a lot of local talent.
