Delta sky magazine will feature Roanoke and New River Valleys

Posted: Updated:

Delta Sky magazine will feature Roanoke and New River Valleys for its April issue.

It will be a 22 to 24 page spread on what the area has to offer including quality of life and businesses.

The magazine will be on all domestic and international flights for that month and there will be about 600,000 copies.

This isn't the first time the region has been on an in-flight magazine.

About five years ago Roanoke was featured for U.S. Airways. The executive director of the Roanoke Regional Partnership told me the spread will be paid for by local advertisements that will be spread too.

She also told me she's excited since April is when travel season picks up again for the Spring.

"April is a great time because the travel season really picks up starting in March so April is a great time and coincides with the Blue Ridge Marathon," says Beth Doughty, executive director of the Roanoke Regional Partnership.
