President Obama will sign the Farm Bill into law today during a trip to Michigan State University. The measure will cost almost one-trillion dollars over 10 years.

Danville City Council will meet with Duke Energy this afternoon at 1:00 to provide a review and update on the coal ash spill in the Dan River, 20 miles away in Rockingham County. Danville utilities say the water is now safe to drink.
