VDOT crews are working through the night Saturday into Sunday in Roanoke, Floyd and Craig Counties.
Spokesman Jason Bond says snow drifts have caused problems in those areas, with the snow drifts being five to six feet deep in some spots.
Crews have had to return to Route 221 in Roanoke County and other roads on Bent Mountain several times.
VDOT continues to monitor road conditions as there are concerns for black ice overnight. Crews will treat the roads as necessary.
