UPDATE: THP stop search for man who fled crash in Sullivan County

SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN (WJHL) - Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers stopped searching around noon Monday for a man who crashed his vehicle and then ran.
A helicopter was used in the search for the man, who has not yet been identified. Troopers were searching in the general area of interstates 81 and 26.
The search had been going on since around 8:30 a.m., when the crash happened near mile marker 56 on I-81. After the crash, the man abandoned the vehicle and may have made it to a nearby construction site where he may have received a ride, according to a THP spokesman.
The investigation into the crash was continuing.

Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers were searching the general area near Interstate 81 this morning for a man who crashed a vehicle and then ran away.
According to a dispatcher with THP, troopers have been searching for the man, who has not been identified, since around 8:30 a.m. Monday.
The crash happened near mile marker 56 on I-81, but the search had been expanded to the area near Interstate 26.
A THP spokesman said only one vehicle was involved in the crash.
