Danville Police investigating pedestrian hit

The following is a news release from Danville Police: 

Danville Police responded to a call of a pedestrian struck by a passing motorist. 

At 10:50 p.m., on Friday, Danville Police responded to the intersection of Richmond Blvd. and Forestlawn Dr. where a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.  

Police say the 69 year-old male operator of a 1994 Buick four door was traveling north on Richmond Blvd. and struck a 23 year-old male pedestrian traveling south in the northbound travel lane. The pedestrian was transported to Danville Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. 

The police investigation is ongoing.
