Pastor Larry Clark preliminary hearing in Rockbridge County

Posted: Updated:
ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, VA -

4:33 PM:

The case against Buena Vista Pastor Larry Clark is headed to the grand jury in May. He's accused of molesting three teenage boys.

He's facing 36 charges based on accusations from three victims. The charges stem back to 2011.

Rockbridge County Chief Deputy Commonwealth's attorney Christopher Billias says all three victims were around 14 years old at the time of the incidents.

Two of them testified in court Tuesday during a preliminary hearing. Media was not allowed at the hearing because of their ages.

Billias says the boys spent a "great deal of time at the church", Clark oversees six churches and he came to the area more than a decade ago.

The Commonwealth's attorney says it is an ongoing investigation, there could be more victims and they ask anyone with information to come forward.

Investigator Miles Kelly says Clark is a convicted felon who was charged with embezzlement and grand larceny in the 1980s on the eastern shore and spent three years behind bars.

Clark is still in custody and has not met his $200,000 bond.

Our call to Clark's attorney has not been returned.

Original post:
61 year old Larry Clark, the pastor of the Pentecostal Outreach Church in Buena Vista, will be in court Tuesday afternoon.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Rockbridge Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Investigators with the Rockbridge County Sheriff's Office arrested Clark December 11th on six felony warrants. The arrest was the result of the continuing investigation into allegations of Clark's sexual involvement with multiple male minors.
