Roanoke Valley High School Students Rally For Relay For Life

Posted: Updated:
Cave Spring Middle School will have hundreds of people walking for a cause this Saturday.  This is the second year for The Roanoke Valley Student Relay For Life event.

Last year, ten schools participated and raised twenty five thousand dollars for the American Cancer Society and all of the programs that people throughout our area benefit from.

"We don't have a specific goal.  We just want people to come out and support Relay For Life.  Anything we raise is our goals," says Cave Spring High School Organizer, Tracey Lange.

"We compete against each other in sports events but this is a chance to come together for a cause," explains Emily Fulton, a senior at C.S.H.S.

The first Relay For Life Event will be Saturday March 15th from 2:00p-6:00p at Cave Spring Middle School Track.
