Father Jonathan Craft is preparing for his daughter's killer to be in court on Friday.
He plans to read a statement detailing how losing his 13-month-old daughter has devastated his life.
"I'll never get to see her get married or have children or graduate from high school. There's a lot of things I'm going to miss out on because of what's he's done to my daughter," father Jonathan Craft says
Preston King, 28, plead guilty to first-degree murder in Veralee's death in December.
"Just having to look at him while I talk about my daughter is really going to impact me. It's going to bring out a lot of emotions," Craft says.
Craft has started a petition called 'Sentence Preston King to Life.' He plans to give it to the Roanoke County Judge James Swanson before sentencing on Friday.
He's also connected with CASA to help coordinate events during child abuse awareness month in April.
CASA is a program that court appoints child advocates to help abused or neglected children.
