Preston King gets 60 years for baby's murder

Update: Preston King was sentenced to 60 years in prison, 28 years suspended.


Earlier:
A Roanoke County man will be sentenced today for killing 13-month-old Veralee Craft.

Preston King pled guilty to first-degree murder back in December. Investigators say King was taking care of Veralee for his girlfriend in July 2012 when police found her severely beaten and shaken. She died days later.

Veralee's father Jonathan Craft will give a victim impact statement in court.

He'll also present a petition he started, called "Sentence Preston King to Life."
