Police: argument led to shots fired on W. Ninth Ave.

Posted: Updated:
JOHNSON COUNTY, TN (WJHL-TV) - Police tell News Channel 11 an argument led to shots being fired in Johnson City.

Investigators said William Letcher, 22, went to his cousin's house Friday night, uninvited, which led to an argument. Police said Letcher then went back to his house, just a few doors down on West Ninth Avenue, and got a handgun. Police said Letcher walked outside and fired two shots into the air.

Letcher is charged with Reckless Endangerment and now is in the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. He's scheduled for court Monday afternoon.
