JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) -
Sunday morning investigators with the Johnson City Police Department arrested 24-year-old Jamarcus Lavelle Jackson in connection with an early morning downtown shooting. This arrest stems from an investigation into an early morning disturbance in the Cherry Street parking lot in Johnson City where numerous gunshots were fired that resulted in multiple people receiving injuries and one succumbing to those injuries

Jackson is charged with one count of Second Degree Murder for the unlawful killing of 24-year-old DeShaun Wesley Greer of  Bristol, Virginia. Jamarcus Jackson is also facing charges of Attempted Second Degree Murder for the attempted unlawful killing of  21-year-old Jamison Lewis Greer also of  Bristol, Virginia; Aggravated Assault for the inflicting of injury with a deadly weapon on 23-year-old Zachary Breedlove of Jonesborough.

Authorities said they are also charging Jackson with reckless Endangerment for his reckless activity of discharging a firearm that resulted in an injury to 27-year-old Jonathan McInturff. Jackson is also charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon for previous felony convictions in the State of Tennessee. Investigatorss said at the time of his arrest, Jamarcus Jackson was found to be in possession of a Schedule VI drug (marijuana) and charged with Simple Possession.

Jamarcus Lavelle Jackson was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $200,000.00 bond. An arraignment will be held in the General Sessions Court of Washington County, Tennessee on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. The investigation is continuing.
