Cleared: 2 Montgomery Co. tractor trailer accidents; Major I81 backups in both directions

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, VA - Update:

Traffic is now back to normal moving through that area.

Two tractor trailer accidents in Montgomery County are leading to major backups on I81 in both directions.

Southbound:  A tractor trailer accident near mm 112.9 at around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night is still causing major issues.  The wreck has been cleared, but traffic is moving extremely slow through the area-- between 3 mph and 6 mph.  There is currently a 4 mile backup.

Northbound: A tractor trailer accident near 109 northbound has the left lane closed. 2 mile backup. Traffic moving around 40 mph through the area.
