    Jeremy Johnson passed for 243 yards and two touchdowns in the first half and Nick Marshall returned from suspension with a 19-yard scoring run to lift No. 6 Auburn to a 45-21 opening victory over Arkansas on Saturday.
    The Auburn offense didn't slow down a bit, even with Nick Marshall a spectator for half the game.

Politicians make a lot of promises, many of which are kept while others fall to the wayside, but when it comes to important commitments like holding up your end of the wager on BCS Championship wins, you better not waiver.

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley held up his end of the bargain Tuesday and sent a gallon of lemonade from Toomer's Drug Store in Auburn south to the governor of Florida.

It wasn't an April Fools Day joke, though many Auburn fans would gladly take a gallon on April 1 or any other day.

Governor Bentley placed a friendly wager with Florida's Governor Rick Scott before the Auburn Tigers and Florida State Seminoles met on the field for the BCS National Championship Game in January.

Bentley, and the Auburn Tigers, came up short. After leading by double-digits for most of the game, Auburn lost the lead with just 13 seconds left in the game. With a final score of 34-31, the win, the Coaches' Trophy, the rings and the sweet lemonade all made their way to the Sunshine State.

Bentley's Communications Director, Jennifer Ardis, tweeted a photo of the governor's note to Gov. Scott.


"Congratulations to Florida State University Football team on being named National Champions - Even though Auburn University came very close and performed well - I would like to give you this lemonade from Auburn so you remember us - Robert Bentley"

Governor Scott got the message, and the lemonade. He was nice enough to tweet back:
