Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx will release an update on the success of the agency's official website full of safety resources for state and local governments later this morning. It's aimed at decreasing the number of accidents caused by distracted driving.

Vinton will break ground on several downtown projects today including a new library, streetscape and farmers' market. The groundbreaking is this morning at 10 a.m..

If you've ever thought of opening your own food truck business, today's the day to learn more. Roanoke, Roanoke County and Salem are putting on a free workshop for people who want to learn the ins and outs of the business and how to start one. It's from 8:30 a.m. - noon at the Jefferson Center.

Members of this year's U.S. Winter Olympic and U.S. Paralympic teams will join President and Mrs. Obama at the White House today for an event in the East Room. The U.S. Team won nine gold medals, seven silver and 12 bronze for a total of 28 medals in Sochi.
