Train Day in Radford - WSLS 10 NBC in Roanoke/Lynchburg Va

Train Day in Radford

Posted: Updated:
Hundreds of people rode a train into Radford today for “train day”.

People had the chance to experience what the city had to offer during their visit.

750 people were on the train excursion via a steam engine from Bristol to Radford.

Once in Radford, visitors were able to explore and shop downtown.

It’s the second year for the train excursion, and this year it grew.

“It allows people to see our community and see what Radford has to offer,” says Jenni Wilder, City of Radford Spokesperson. “Hopefully these people are from all over Virginia, maybe Tennessee, come back to visit for a weekend and spend some more time here.”

City officials are expecting for it to grow even more next year.
