NRV Economic Alliance expects to draw more companies after recent announcements

Posted: Updated:
After a strong 2013 for economic announcements, the New River Valley is ready for those jobs to become a reality.

Red Sun Farms, the candle manufacturer Korona S.A., and Falls Stamping and Welding each made major investments in the Pulaski area in 2013.

Now many of the hundreds of jobs promised will be created in the next few months.

While it's an expected return, the New River Valley Economic Alliance believes it provides a good example for other companies looking to move.

"It has been wonderful to see some of the companies that have come to the area that are then talking to their friends and their colleagues and recommending this area as a good place for business," said NRV Economic Alliance Executive Director Aric Bopp. "We're a very pro-business environment."

Bopp said testimonials from other companies is a key factor in attracting new ones.
