Delegate Yost uses online survey for Medicaid input

Posted: Updated:
ROANOKE, VA - The House of Delegates will head into special session tomorrow and tackle a two year budget with part of the focus being whether or not to expand Medicaid.

Democrats are pushing for the expansion which would get an additional 400,000 Virginians coverage while adding 1.7 billion dollars to the Commonwealth's economy. Republicans argue it's irresponsible and question if the federal government will be able to contribute long term.

12th District Delegate Joseph Yost has been asking constituents for input through an online survey. The brief 10 question survey focuses on whether you support or oppose expanding Medicaid and whether you'd support if the federal government doesn't pay its share, requiring Virginia to cover it.

You can find the survey here. It also gives space for comments.
