Durham school bus rear ended with 30 students onboard

DURHAM, N.C. - Around 30 students were on a Durham Public Schools bus Wednesday afternoon when it was rear ended.

The driver of the bus along with six or seven students were sent to the hospital as a precaution, said Chip Sudderth, director of public information for Durham Public Schools.

The bus was traveling from Brogden Middle School when it was hit at the intersection of Farthing Street and E. Club Boulevard, said Sudderth.

Emergency crews are were still on the scene of the accident at 3:45 p.m., according to Sudderth.
