New Franklin Co. Fire Marshal after 23 years

Franklin county gets a new fire marshal after 23 years.

David Bowles started last week and has 25 years of experience in the fire service.

Most recently, Bowles worked for the FBI traveling around the world with the Technical Hazard Response Unit.

County leaders say they are excited to have Bowles bring his experience in investigating criminal cases to the position.

"I look forward to working with David because of his experience in investigating criminal cases and his many years in the fire service," Franklin County Public Safety Director Daryl Hatcher says. "David brings a unique set of skills and talents to the position and I think he will excel in the position."


Bowles first major experience as Franklin County Fire Marshal was assisting with the 30,000 gallon manure spill in the area.
