Tattoo fundraiser to give money to Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center

Posted: Updated:
People do some wild things for charity, but what about getting a tattoo.

"Ink 4 Autism" is a worldwide event going on in the month of April and one local studio is taking part.

Asylum studios will tattoo for a cause this Friday and Saturday.

Manager, Tamar Boland, shows us some autism awareness designs in this book.

"Ink 4 Autism" is raising money for Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center.

It's not every day people give back in such a permanent way, so one artist is excited to be part of that.

“Any chance we get to take what we love and make somebody else benefit from it that's always awesome to get to do.  I mean, to take somebody and give them something for the rest of their life they'll get to have good memories from that's really awesome,” explained Jacki O’Rourke, tattoo artist.

A 100-percent of the money raised Friday and Saturday will go to the Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center.
