Healing Strides of Virginia helps people with physical and mental needs using horse lessons and right now they have plenty of horses they're just short on volunteers.
For the past five years they've built the number of student riders up to 125 and some lessons require up to five volunteers at a time.
Nicki Breedlove started volunteering here after her autistic daughter came to summer camp.
She says volunteers get to be a part of the change rider’s experience.
“We're in high need of good volunteers, reliable volunteers, volunteers that love children and love to see kids grow form not speaking to speaking just their horsemanship, we need horse people and non-horse people,” Breedlove explained.
We're told you don't even have to be a "horse person" they need help keeping up the farm, working on trails and even help in the office.
