Sarah Hamblin will make her final delivery Friday morning to Eagle Rock Elementary School as part of "Operation: Easter Bunny."
As her 5th year winds down she reflects on the growth she's seen.
Sarah started this when she was just five.
She's gotten pretty good at putting Easter baskets together over the years.
The first year Sarah collected 22 baskets for the Botetourt Food Pantry and this year it's grown to 144 baskets.
“Operation: Easter Bunny” has expanded to the backpack weekend feeding programs at most Botetourt elementary schools.
“It doesn't matter what age you are you can do something amazing,” Sarah explained.
“One of the things that she told me early on is you know mom there's a lot of charities out there to help the kids at Christmas.Well, what about the rest of the year and that children need to know all the time that they're loved, no matter what time of the year it is and that's why she really focused on Easter,” Ann-Marie Hamblin said, Sarah’s mom.
