UPDATE (8:51 a.m.):

WSLS 10's Jade Hanson spoke with Gerald Ayers. He's the owner of Central Virginia Pallet and Stake.

He says a building on the property burned down and is now completely gone, and he's fearful he is going to lose customers.

It's the second fire to happen there in 13 months -- he says the last one in March 2013 caused close to $80,000 in damages.

Ayers says he can't afford insurance on the property, because having sawdust causes insurance rates to skyrocket.

A fire at a saw mill in Bedford County is under investigation.

It happened this afternoon around 5 at Central Virginia Pallet and Stake on Centerville Road.

Bedford County's Fire Chief says there were no injuries, but the owner estimates the damages at about $75,000

The chief says the fire is still burning, and it will likely burn for a few days, but it is contained.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but it's believed to be accidental.
