Roanoke's Spring Bling sells out

ROANOKE, VA - The West End Center in Roanoke is benefiting from a huge fundraiser.

The annual Spring Bling Event features a silent auction, fashion show and brunch at Hotel Roanoke.

The West End Center says this is its biggest fundraiser. The brunch was sold out. They raised about $20,000 to help children in the center's summer program.

"It's a great fundraiser and it took a lot of people to make the success but we're especially grateful to our sponsor building specialist team," said Joy Parrish the executive director.

The West End Center helps children with limited resources to become productive and responsible adults.

WSLS 10's Karen McNew emceed today's event.
